Big Bang Boards

Tony, I have a biostar t5 xe cfx-sli with i7 860. I upgrdaed to SL 10.6.2 64bit. Since the upgrade, my Samsung DVD drive is not recognized. I changed the Extras to the standard com.apple.boot.plist and now, the optical drive is recognized, but in the “about this mac < more info" section, it shows 64 bit as "no". Any ideas how to change that? What confuses me is that in the Activity Monitor Application, the list of Process shows the "kind" as "Intel (64bit).
